When I’m not planning a trip to a Disney Destination, I’m planning a trip to the beach with my family! Growing up in northern Indiana, I experienced my fair share of cold northern winters, so when I got married, my husband and I quickly relocated to sunny North Carolina! We are about 3 hours from the coast and 2 hours from the mountains and we head out to the sandy coast of North Carolina whenever we have the chance!

My favorite night time show at Walt Disney World is Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom. I have been known to get teary eyed watching the perfectly choreographed music and fireworks. Okay, I’ll be honest… I get teary eyed every time!

The reason I am so enthusiastic about Disney vacations is that the memories you make stay with you forever and will be something your children will talk about when they have children of their own! Our family not only reminisces about the rides and shows we experienced, but also the magical moments that we didn’t even plan – like when my son turned 10 while riding Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin! The clock struck midnight and he shouted, “I’m 10!” It was an incredible memory that he will remember forever!

My family also represents the Wizarding World well! In my family of 5, we have one Hufflepuff, two Ravenclaw’s, one Slytherin, and one Gryffindor – ME! We enjoy visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort and casting spells with our interactive wands while searching for the hidden gems that make references to the Harry Potter book and movie series.

My favorite Disney theme park moment is so difficult to choose! There is nothing like walking into Magic Kingdom and looking down Main Street at Cinderella’s Castle. I get teary every time! The feeling of being in the middle of the magic makes everyone light up from the inside. Another tradition for our family is riding it’s a small world at Magic Kingdom. We do this every trip and the kids sit in one row and my husband and I behind them. There is something about riding this classic ride that fills me up with gratitude for my family and the memories we are sharing!
